Pet Circle is an expanding e-commerce business focused on pets, with a mission to build the most engaged community of pets and pet parents.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our squad, you will be responsible for designing and building robust solutions, deploying and monitoring them in production, and collaborating closely with your team to define technical requirements and architect scalable, high-performance systems.

You will have significant hands-on experience in full stack software engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable and resilient applications. You should have deep proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with backend experience in NestJS and Java. Additionally, you should have good understanding of testing frameworks like Jest, as well as performance testing and E2E testing.

Apart from this, you should have extensive experience with cloud platforms, ideally with Google Cloud (GCP) or AWS, proven knowledge of software architecture and best practices for building cloud-native applications, and experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.

As a champion for the customer experience, you should ensure that every technical decision you make has a positive impact on the end user. You should also instill a culture of strong ownership and accountability for the software you build, and understand the critical role of monitoring and observability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build robust solutions, deploy and monitor them in production
  • Collaborate closely with your squad to define technical requirements and architect scalable, high-performance systems
  • Write clean, well-tested code in our primary stack, while maintaining and modernizing our legacy applications
  • Instill a culture of strong ownership and accountability for the software you build
  • Be a champion for the customer experience, ensuring every technical decision impacts the end user positively
