Job Overview

The Inland Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of inland activities for exports and imports of bulk liquids. This includes coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure timely and correct handling of bookings, selecting the optimal ocean carrier based on cost, speed, or sustainability, and communicating vessel/voyage information.



  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Management – Process customer bookings, select the optimal ocean carrier, and communicate vessel/voyage information.
  • Export Documentation – Handle shipping instructions in alignment with quality procedures, coordinate processing and distribution of shipping instructions, and advise customers of additional charges.
  • Import Documentation – Monitor and control the end-to-end process for imports, verify estimated arrival information, and create/distribute release instructions.
  • Invoicing – Execute billing procedures accurately and issue invoices for additional charges.
  • Inland Coordination – Plan, coordinate, and oversee inland elements of exports/imports to ensure timely loading and delivery.
  • Compliance & Safety – Register events/non-conformities, contribute to identifying root causes, and uphold compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Minor Issue Resolution – Identify solutions to minimize disruptions and drive continuous improvement initiatives within operations.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience working in logistics/shipping in a similar role.
  • Proven record of excellent work quality and accuracy, experience working in an international environment.
  • Fluent in English, single regional language proficiency preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey information to suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate documentation with a keen eye for identifying errors and discrepancies.
  • Ability to actively engage in problem resolution with critical thinking, a growth mindset, and a commitment to personal development.
