Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and insert data into the data warehouse
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and offer recommendations for improvements
  • Contribute to defining a scalable data architecture
  • Coordinate production, development and sandbox environments
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members on technologies and processes

 

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of IT experience working with ETL in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge in ETL design methodologies including best practices, performance tuning, architecture, monitoring and alerting
  • Knowledge of at least one ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica, Matillion, Talend, etc.)
  • Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling and ability to represent data using standard modeling techniques
  • Proficient with SQL and stored procedures
  • Experience in working with at least one of these warehouse technologies such as SQL, Snowflake, AWS Redshift
  • Knowledge of processes when working on pre-release environments, moving changes between environments
  • Ability to deliver work to schedule (self-manage workload and priorities)
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving
  • Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Amenable to work remotely
  • Amenable to work on non-traditional shifts
