Customer Service Representative Role Overview

The Customer Support Agent provides customer service support and resolution of routine problems regarding client products or services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure service delivery meets contractual Key Performance Indicators ('KPIs')
  • Clarify customer requirements, probe for understanding, and provide resolution to the customer
  • Listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, demonstrating empathy while building rapport with the customer
  • Maintain basic knowledge of client products and/or services
  • Prepare complete and accurate work, including notating accounts as required
  • Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
  • Offer additional products and/or services
  • Track, document, and retrieve information in call tracking database
  • Respond to customer inquiries by referring them to published materials or more senior staff
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has:

  • A high school diploma and relevant experience preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Computer navigation skills and PC Knowledge
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Dependability, attention to detail, and strong multitasking abilities
  • Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patient and professional demeanor in all customer contact situations
  • Flexibility to rotate shifts as needed
