Plant Operations Manager

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of our solar plants. This role involves daily performance monitoring, coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring safety compliance, and driving performance optimization to maximize plant availability and energy output.

  • Lead day-to-day operations in accordance with safety standards.
  • Monitor plant performance using SCADA tools to ensure optimal generation and identify performance issues.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with OEM procedures.
  • Supervise field technicians and contractors on-site.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation related to operations, maintenance, outages, and performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of faults and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with grid operators regarding outages, compliance, and grid synchronization.
  • Support inventory control of spare parts, consumables, and tools required for plant upkeep.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in solar power plant operations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA.
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SCADA/monitoring systems.
