Job Title: Accountant

The accounting team requires a highly skilled professional to oversee the financial operations and ensure compliance with all regulations. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and making recommendations for business growth.

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that meet company standards.
    • Budgeting & Forecasting: Create and maintain budgets and financial forecasts; provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
    • Financial Reports and Analysis: Automate and improve comprehensive financial reports across functions to support strategic decision-making.
    • Recommendations: Deliver scheduled comprehensive updates and strategic recommendations based on financial records and analytical reports to ensure organizational financial hygiene.
  • Accounting Operations:
    • General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
    • Transaction Processing: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
    • Compliance & Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
    • Establish financial books, reports, and analysis systems while collaborating with management in financial planning.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with remote teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial tasks.
    • Liaise with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
    • Accept additional tasks and responsibilities to meet business objectives.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Utilize and enhance accounting systems for efficient data analysis and reporting.
    • Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial operations.
    • Stay educated on industry trends to share and implement best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 5+ years in accounting, financial analysis, AR/AP, month-end reconciliation.
  • 3+ years creating financial reports, ideally in e-commerce or remote/digital businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Proficiency in financial data interpretation and reporting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
