Mechanical Engineer Role

Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer seeking a challenging position that will utilize your expertise in engineering design? We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers on a variety of engineering design tasks.

Job Summary:

A key member of our team, the successful candidate will apply deep knowledge of mechanical systems within the context of NYC building codes using advanced software tools to deliver accurate and code-compliant engineering plans.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed mechanical engineering drawings in accordance with NYC building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with architectural and structural teams to ensure design compatibility and regulatory compliance.
  • Revise and update technical drawings based on project specifications and markups.
  • Conduct technical reviews and contribute to the development of project documentation including reports and presentations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field such as Aerospace or Automotive Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and drafting with expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge of New York City building codes and regulations including zoning laws and permits.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
