Key Responsibilities

We work closely with customers to understand their needs and guide them towards the most suitable product. We identify and manage prospects, ensuring they receive a seamless sales experience.

  1. We build strong relationships with customers and qualify their requirements to provide tailored solutions.
  2. We demonstrate exceptional Customer First Behaviours in all interactions with customers and colleagues.
  3. We ask questions and listen carefully to understand individual needs and preferences.
  4. We qualify our understanding of customer needs through discussion of alternative options to find the best match between the product and customer requirements.
  5. We present the most suitable options to customers, adapting our approach according to their needs and preferences.
  6. We take responsibility for arranging test drives and encouraging customers to experience our products.
  7. We develop a deep understanding of customer needs to guide them towards the best solution.

We agree the details of the sale, ensuring sales opportunities are maximised for the full range of services and products, including warranties and service plans.

  1. We accurately appraise vehicles to purchase and sell, optimising value for the dealership.
  2. We appraise and agree the sale price in an open and friendly manner, ensuring Sales Manager authorisation is obtained as necessary.
  3. We introduce JLR finance options prior to agreeing payment methods with customers, working within guidelines to ensure all payments are complete.
  4. We complete required documentation accurately and register all sales with Administrative colleagues.

We coordinate order and delivery, working with Sales colleagues to maintain accurate stock availability information.

  1. We ensure pre-delivery inspections and agreed repairs/servicing are carried out prior to delivery.
  2. We liaise with Administrative colleagues to ensure product availability meets JLR standards, place orders, update customer records, and schedule complementary services or additional work.
  3. We maintain contact with customers to keep them informed throughout the sale and pre-delivery process, notifying them of any changes and arranging a convenient handover.

We develop relationships to win new business, planning and organising our selling activity to secure new business opportunities.

  1. We develop effective long-term relationships to deliver future business by getting to know customers.
  2. We plan and organise prospecting activities to generate customer referrals and follow up leads appropriately.
  3. We participate in planning sales and marketing campaigns and promotions.
  4. We share information on new products, features, and benefits with interested customers and colleagues.

We manage the display of products and merchandise, ensuring vehicles are presented professionally at all times.

  1. We suggest and make changes to vehicle displays and maintain a clean and tidy sales environment.

We work as a full member of the Dealership team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver improvements and provide a seamless service to customers.

  1. We work with colleagues to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  2. We adhere to legal, environmental, and health and safety requirements, ensuring the safety and security of people, vehicles, and property at all times.
  3. We understand and follow relevant aspects of JLR operating guidelines.
  4. We maintain a professional manner and high standards of personal presentation at all times.
