About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. This is a mid-senior level position that requires technical expertise in Company & Trust Tax Returns, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) calculations, Capital Gains Tax (CGT) event management, and Division 7A loan compliance and structuring.

Work hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM AU Time | 9 AM - 6 PM PH Time

Work setup: Remote

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and efficient tax returns for companies and trusts
  • Manage FBT calculations and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate CGT event management and ensure timely completion of returns
  • Ensure Division 7A loan compliance and structuring
  • Mentor and collaborate with offshore bookkeeping teams to ensure quality and consistency across operations
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficient in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency required
  • Background in FYIDocs advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills to train and guide junior staff
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Motivated to grow with the business and open to taking on more responsibility
