Job Purpose

The primary goal of this position is to provide high-quality accounting services to clients through comprehensive financial reviews, account management, and precise coding.

This role entails processing bank feeds, reconciliations, and credit card statements, as well as monthly financial reviews, payroll recording, and thorough accounting cleanup tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bank Feeds: Assist in accurately coding transactions from each bank or credit card account according to established procedures.
  • Reconciliations: Conduct end-of-month reconciliation process for assigned client accounts with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Credit Card Reconciliations: Reconcile credit cards for assigned clients, including retrieving statements and creating lists for presentation to cardholders.
  • Monthly Financial Review: Prepare and send emails to clients following up on routine income or expenses not recorded, cross-check financial statements, and provide assistance with client questions.
  • Payroll Recording: Record payroll transactions for clients based on Labor Allocation Reports and supporting documentation.
  • Accounting Cleanup: Assist with clean-up and review of revenue coding, payroll, balance sheet accounts, and other tasks as requested.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Background in Accounting or proven understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to comprehend new concepts with written and hands-on support.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero is a plus.
