Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team. As an AMS Workday Certified Benefits Consultant, you will be responsible for providing strategic support for our clients' Workday technology by delivering innovative ideas and effective solutions.

Foster the development of other consultants by sharing expertise.

  • Provide expertise in the Workday HCM product suite, with deep expertise and experience in U.S. benefits
  • Lead the following as a member of a deployment team, or coach others to successfully: gather and document client business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to clients
  • Work with confidential client/data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday
  • Assist the integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions
  • Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model as well as coach others on product knowledge
  • Communicate clearly and concisely. Collaborate effectively and synergistically to team-based projects
  • Work with team members to address complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support
  • Facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
  • Maintain clients' ongoing satisfaction, ensuring we are referenceable and referable once in production
  • Provide regular status reports to the project managers keeping them apprised of overall project status
  • Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
  • Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation (assist integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems)
  • Demonstrate computational thinking. Identify problem components, analyze patterns, remove inefficient configurations or processes, and construct algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs
  • Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst your colleagues, mentees, and managers - serve as a professional role model
  • Provide insightful status reports to project managers that highlight risks to project health and improvements in client adoption

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Expertise in Workday HCM product suite with deep experience in U.S. benefits
  2. Strong leadership skills to lead deployment teams or coach others
  3. Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  4. Effective collaboration and problem-solving skills
  5. Experience in working with confidential client data and converting legacy data into Workday
  6. Mentoring and coaching skills to develop new consultants
  7. Strong analytical and technical skills to ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation
