About the Role

The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and tax laws. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Record and reconcile bank transactions, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assist with payroll processing.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with tax preparation, including BAS/IAS and payroll tax.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-10 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in Financial Accounting or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in Australian businesses and handling multiple entities in Australia.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of online banking and experience in month-end reconciliations.
  • Experience with Australian tax (BAS/IAS) and/or payroll is preferred.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in working with Xero.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Reporting capabilities.
