About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a leadership position and drive growth in our retail operations. As Order Operations Lead, you will be responsible for managing the order-to-cash cycle, ensuring accuracy and execution from order receipt to customer delivery. You will lead a team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering world-class customer service while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.

You will provide support for pre-order activities, including setting up systemic processes, writing custom SOPs, and ensuring orders are ready for processing. Additionally, you will build sustainable processes and systems that focus on efficiency and scalability as we onboard new customers and grow our Customer Operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day execution and management of the order-to-cash cycle, ensuring accuracy and execution from order receipt through customer delivery all the way through invoicing and payment collection.
  • Provide customer support for pre-order activities, including systemic setup, writing customer-specific SOPs, and ensuring customer orders are ready to process.
  • Build sustainable processes and systems from scratch, focusing on efficiency and scalability as we onboard with new Commercial customers and build out our Customer Operations team.
  • Maintain strong data integrity in all order operations systems associated with order entry, order fulfillment, order management, and order invoicing.
  • Lead month's end reconciliation from the Order Operations perspective and provide fully vetted reporting to Accounting showing all orders for the previous month are accurately entered in all of our systems and tie out.
Requirements
  • Ability to work full time US-based hours.
  • Expertise in automations, including Zapier, Make, N8N, with experience in connecting systems and streamlining manual processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a customer-facing role.
  • Elite organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Process-oriented with the ability to identify issues, create scalable processes, and implement them with team members.
  • Order Processing experience, including EDI, B2B, and manual orders, with strong ERP system experience.
  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • 2+ years experience working in US food & beverage order operations with distributors like UNFI & Kehe and retailers like Target.
  • Able to thrive in a fully remote work environment under minimal supervision.
