Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Specialty Tax group, you will be responsible for providing tax consulting services to clients.

Your primary role will involve preparing comprehensive fixed asset engagements, including cost segregation and fixed asset review studies. You will also learn to research issues related to cost segregation and fixed asset matters and be able to articulate or prepare documentation related to such matters.

In addition, you will develop industry expertise to help yourself become an indelible member of the cost segregation practice. You will also assist in training, monitoring, and developing staff as the department grows.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field and 1+ years of work experience within a cost segregation practice or a related field.

You should be proficient in Adobe Pro DC, MS products including Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and the ability to learn new software as needed.

Key skills include strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills, as well as strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 1+ years of work experience within a cost segregation practice or a related field such as building inspection or appraisals, engineering related work, architecture, or building construction positions.
  • Proficient in Adobe Pro DC, MS products including Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and the ability to learn new software as needed.
  • Ability to read building plans, blueprints.
  • Knowledge of RS Means and Marshall and Swift.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and timely.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
