Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriateness. You will ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any discrepancies that may arise.

Additionally, you will reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records. You will also assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and issues. You will support the implementation and maintenance of accounts payable systems and processes.

Furthermore, you will perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems. You will also assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  6. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
