Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all functions and duties within their scope of responsibility are executed properly and consistently to achieve high standards of quality.

This position also ensures full implementation and compliance to Food Safety Systems such as Good Manufacturing Practices, Pre-requisite programs and HACCP system in various areas of the production line.

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining product safety and quality by conducting regular audits, monitoring processes, and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Process Monitoring: Ensure compliance to established standards by monitoring production processes.
  • Coordinate Non-Conformities: Coordinate process non-conformities with respective teams and departments.
  • Monitor Waste Control: Monitor and control wastages in the production line.
  • Implement Corrective Actions: Issue Corrective Actions for food safety and quality deviations and monitor their implementation.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with operations managers and supervisors on non-conformities to facilitate corrective action implementation and closure.
  • Develop GWP/GTP/HACCP Systems: Provide assistance in documenting and implementing GWP/GTP/HACCP systems.
  • Cascade Systems: Ensure that these systems are cascaded to all production staff and officers.
  • Audit Compliance: Conduct regular GWP/HACCP audits and ensure compliance.
  • Provide Training: Conduct GWP/HACCP refresher training in collaboration with the FSQMS division.
  • Coordinate Audit Observations: Coordinate audit observations with responsible sections and develop CAPA plans for each non-conformity.
  • Presentation Skills: Present CAPA plans to external auditors and follow up on acceptance.
  • Maintain Closure: Monitor the closure of observed non-conformities and verify processes for possible recurrence.
  • Improve Processes: Develop improvement projects related to food safety and quality systems within the scope of responsibility.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety management system requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cross-functional collaboration with other QA associates and departments.
  • Timely Completion: Ensure timely completion of tasks and accurate performance of duties.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other related tasks assigned by superiors.
  • Participate in Cost-Saving Initiatives: Participate in cost-saving initiatives and maintain a high level of punctuality.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Material Science Engineering, or related science courses.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates welcome to apply.
  • Familiarity with GWP, GTP, and HACCP principles.
  • Knowledge of food safety management systems or ISO 22000.
