Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

The role involves playing a pivotal part in the testing and validation of web integrations, features, and analytics dashboards for both customer and internal projects.

  • You will collaborate with both customers and internal teams, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and quality assurance acumen.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Test and validate integrations between disparate systems and external web applications.
  2. Review user stories, integration requirements, and API documentation for testability and clarity.
  3. Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for data flows, workflows, and process automation.
  4. Verify data mapping, synchronization, and error handling between connected systems.
  5. Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on platform features and enhancements.
  6. Test and validate business intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards for data accuracy, visualization, and usability.
  7. Document and track bugs, issues, and test results using project management tools.
  8. Collaborate with developers, BI/reporting teams, and Technical Solutions Architects to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
  9. Contribute to quality assurance automation initiatives as skills develop.
  10. Assist in maintaining quality assurance process documentation and knowledge base.
  11. Participate in regular project meetings, providing quality assurance updates and insights.
  12. Continuously learn and apply new quality assurance best practices, integration skills, and reporting validation techniques.

Candidate Qualifications & Why You're a Great Fit for the Role:

  • The Essentials
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
    • A minimum of two years of professional experience in QA, software testing, or a related technical role (internships, school projects welcome).
    • Basic understanding of web applications, APIs (REST, SOAP), and data flows.
    • Familiarity with SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Additional Successful Qualities
    • Experience testing APIs or integrations between systems.
    • Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms).
    • Knowledge of JSON, XML, or API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
    • Exposure to QA automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
    • Understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud applications, and data security.
    • Experience supporting dashboard/reporting validation.
    • Have hands-on development experience coupled with the ability to lead solution design and client interactions.
    • Possess excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business value for clients.
    • Be experienced in working with a global user base and collaborating across different time zones.
    • Must be an expert at developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with clients; impeccable communication skills and ability to understand clients' needs is imperative.
    • Fluency in English (verbal and written) with exceptional communication skills.
