AI Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team in developing innovative credit risk and collections systems. As a member of our agile squad, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge AI solutions that drive real-world impact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, machine learning, and software development, with a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies. You will be responsible for developing production-grade AI models that integrate state-of-the-art LLM-based agentic workflows with conventional machine learning.

This is a remote-first opportunity, with the option to collaborate in hybrid mode at our Athens offices alongside experts shaping AI-powered features for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AI models that power next-generation credit-risk, early-warning, and digital collections capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into our EXUS Financial Suite (EFS)
  • Develop and maintain production-grade AI code using Python and async handling
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and contribute to the advancement of our AI engineering practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field; Master's or Ph.D. a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience building ML/AI solutions, including hands-on work with LLMs or Generative AI in production
  • Experience in financial services, credit risk, or banking a plus
  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, optimization, and machine learning fundamentals
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with CI/CD and observability using Git-based automation and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
  • Exposure to data and feature pipelines with tools such as Airflow, Spark, or Kafka
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerized deployment with Docker/Kubernetes
