Senior Technical Design Director

This senior-level leadership position oversees the technical aspects of hotel planning, design, and project execution.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and creative vision to drive successful realization of innovative and functional hotel spaces.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Tech Visionary: Develops comprehensive technical design strategies that align with the hotel's vision, brand identity, and operational goals.
  • Integration Expert: Leads the integration of technical and design elements to create holistic guest experiences.
  • Project Manager: Oversees the entire lifecycle of hotel projects, including renovations, expansions, and new constructions.
  • Collaboration Leader: Collaborates with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Design Mentor: Provides technical guidance and leadership to architects, designers, and engineers in developing innovative design solutions.
  • Documentation Specialist: Oversees the creation of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Space Planner: Optimizes space utilization through thoughtful space planning, layout design, and workflow analysis.
  • Sustainability Advocate: Ensures design concepts enhance guest experiences, operational efficiency, and revenue generation while integrating sustainable practices.
Requirements:
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Licensure: Professional licensure or certification relevant to the field.
  • Experience: 10-15 years or more work experience in technical design, project management, and leadership roles in the hotel industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in architectural and design software, as well as project management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Qualities: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of sustainable design principles, construction practices, and industry best practices.
