Finance Portfolio Specialist

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Finance Portfolio Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and enhancing portfolio-level financial models to inform budgets and reforecasts.



Main Responsibilities
  • Create comprehensive financial models to drive informed decision-making.
  • Analyze project-level budget-to-actual variance and communicate findings to operational teams.
  • Identify underperformance and opportunities for optimization, providing actionable recommendations to improve results.
  • Develop reporting packages and various deliverables for investors and lenders.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely delivery of critical alerts and mitigate operational risk.
  • Design data infrastructure to support the team in isolating and investigating key performance drivers such as energy rates and production levels.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a creative mindset.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate information, ideas, and perspectives.
  • Experience working with large datasets, querying databases, and using ERP systems like NetSuite.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in renewables, energy, or infrastructure is desirable but not essential.
  • A proactive approach to improving current work processes, products, and services within an organization.
  • The ability to ask insightful questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present innovative solutions.
