We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, implementing and supporting technological solutions. This includes creating and maintaining 'infrastructure as code' configurations to set up cloud environments on AWS and Cloudflare.

A key aspect of this role is the setup of CI/CD pipelines for production deploys. Additionally, you will develop and improve monitoring and alerting systems to ensure our systems are resilient and can automatically recover from failure with minimal intervention.

To succeed in this position, you must have strong knowledge of Linux System Administration & Bash scripting. Proven experience with AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS Serverless technologies is also essential.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Implement methodologies and procedures to ensure our systems are resilient
  • Develop and improve monitoring and alerting systems
  • Engage in communications across all relevant departments of the organisation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience ideally with 1+ Associate level certification in AWS
  • Work experience in infrastructure, database and network administration for highly available and scalable applications
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with web services, APIs, and RESTful architecture
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and distributed networks
  • Managing Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack of Grafana
  • Development background – experience with Python, NodeJS, Nginx Configuration
