A dedicated legal case manager is sought to join a U.S. law firm team.
- Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant with at least 1 year of experience in a Personal Injury law firm to provide exceptional support to our legal team. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for evaluating new cases, developing strategies, managing case files, communicating with clients, and ensuring timely resolution of cases.
This is a full-time position available immediately for independent contractors who can work from home and have the opportunity for long-term growth with our firm.
- Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate new cases and provide initial assessments to the legal team
Develop case strategies and oversee the implementation of these strategies
Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all case activity
Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status and answer any questions they may have
Act as the primary liaison between clients and the legal team, ensuring that clients are informed and satisfied with the progress of their cases
Coordinate with outside experts and vendors as needed to ensure that clients receive the best possible representation
Provide ongoing support and guidance to the legal team as they work on individual cases
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents as necessary
- Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant in a Personal Injury law firm
Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively
Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other case management software
