We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Structural Biologist to contribute to the peer review process in academic publishing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating manuscripts submitted to journals and publishers, assessing their novelty, study design, methodology, literature review, results, and conclusions.

Using expertise and analytical skills, you will provide constructive feedback to authors, suggesting improvements or highlighting flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.

Based on your evaluation, you will recommend whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.

Requirements
  • A doctoral degree (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in structural biology or a related field is essential.
  • At least two publications in the last two years in structural biology or a related field are required.
  • A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles in structural biology is necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills are crucial.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback are essential.
