About this role

We are seeking a talented professional to fill the position of Master Data Specialist.

Job Description

This role involves creating and maintaining accurate material master records according to established standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to obtain and verify information from various sources, including manufacturers, vendors, and field engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain material master records in accordance with company standards
  • Obtain accurate and complete information from manufacturers, vendors, and other stakeholders to build and update material master records
  • Provide responsive support for procurement and technical queries related to material master data usage
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in material master records to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure harmonization of material master records between supplier catalogs and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, problem-solving, and communication
  • Familiarity with materials used in business operations and understanding of industry processes
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of technical details from engineering drawings and material datasheets
  • Certificate in Procurement/Supply Chain Management is an advantage
  • Proficient in navigating ERP systems, such as SAP/JDE
