Technical Leadership Role

Engineering Excellence Opportunity

We seek a highly skilled and experienced technical leader to lead our engineering teams and drive excellence in software development. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for developing and improving our engineering practices, strengthening the technical skills of our engineers, and collaborating with other department heads to achieve business goals.

As a technical and human-centered leader, you will design, challenge, and guide technical decisions while coaching, inspiring, and enabling your team. You will balance short-term delivery needs with long-term scalability and sustainability, recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, and champion software best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach engineering teams, guiding technical direction and implementing software solutions.

  • Drive architectural decisions, software design, and technical implementation alongside engineers, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align priorities, resolve trade-offs, and deliver value.

  • Develop and maintain a culture of technical excellence, creativity, and accountability.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, and support strategic planning and resource allocation decisions with technical insights.

  • Champion software best practices, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

  • Inspire the team with stretch goals and enable them to achieve success.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2–3 years in technical leadership or management roles.

  • Strong engineering background — proven track record in designing, developing, deploying, and scaling end-to-end software solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced environments and balance competing priorities.

  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills; passionate about growing people and teams.

  • Highly creative, able to challenge conventional approaches, and drive innovative solutions.

  • Strong leadership skills and sense of accountability.

  • Hands-on experience in Transportation/Mobility as a Service or related industries.

  • Prior startup experience.

  • Certifications in Agile, Scrum, PMP, or similar.

  • Experience leading cloud-native, mobile-first, or large-scale distributed systems.
