Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Golang developer to join our team. As a Golang engineer, you will design and implement well-tested and documented software in Go.

You will be responsible for debugging and fixing issues encountered by users, participating in code and architectural reviews, collaborating with community and colleagues on technical specifications, seeking improvements to engineering and operations practices, and deploying and operating services developed by the team.

This role involves working on high-quality Golang software on Linux, designing and writing software that meets industry standards, and contributing to the success of your product through technical advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement well-tested and documented software in Go
  • Debug and fix issues encountered by your users
  • Participate in our engineering process through code and architectural reviews
  • Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications
  • Seek improvements to engineering and operations practices
  • Contribute to the success of your product through technical advocacy
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Well-organized, self-starting and able to deliver to schedule
  • Professional manner interacting with colleagues, partners, and community
  • Experience designing and writing high-quality Golang software on Linux
  • Experience with and passion for Linux at the system level
  • For more senior roles, experience building, deploying, and operating distributed systems and APIs
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Passion, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
