Game Designer Job Description

At Play'n GO, we are looking for a talented and skilled Game Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in designing slot games that captivate players across the globe.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of game math, game mechanics, and player psychology. They will be responsible for designing games that balance entertainment with performance, while also meeting commercial goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design slot game mechanics from the ground up, including base gameplay, bonus features, progression systems, and monetization models.
  • Define and optimize core game parameters such as Return to Player (RTP) and Volatility, collaborating with math and analytics teams to ensure gameplay aligns with commercial goals and regulatory standards.
  • Own the player journey—crafting intuitive UX flows and engaging UI layouts that complement the game mechanics and enhance the overall experience.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive game design documentation, including feature specs, wireframes, user flows, game logic diagrams, and math model descriptions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Mathematicians, Developers, Artists, Producers, and QA to ensure alignment and successful execution from concept to live game.
  • Regularly playtest and analyze prototypes and production builds, providing clear feedback and actionable suggestions to refine gameplay and balance.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in slot or casino game design, ideally with titles that have gone to market.
  • Strong grasp of game math, including probability, RTP, volatility, hit frequency, and paytable logic.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and how player interaction drives retention and engagement.
  • Ability to break down complex systems into clear, concise documentation and design blueprints.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to align creative and technical teams around a shared vision.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers or contributing to design reviews and ideation workshops.
