Job Opportunity

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can operate independently while managing a team to ensure accountability and knowledge up-skilling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff and review tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Prepare and review complex individual and business returns (1120, 1120s, 1065, not for profit, 1041s).
  • Assist staff with diagnosing issues in preparation in software applications.
  • Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and oversight to junior team members.
  • Directly communicate with clients to obtain missing information and provide updates.
  • Able to respond to notices received from tax authorities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Deep knowledge of US Federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041, and not for profit return preparation and review.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Experience preparing returns in professional tax software is preferable.
  • Ability to manage a team and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
