About Our Junior Data Specialist Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Junior Data Specialist. The role focuses on collecting, verifying, and analyzing data based on established methodologies and sources.

As a key member of our Cyber Incident Data team, you'll be responsible for:

  1. Searching for, collecting, and verifying data from various sources in accordance with established collection methodologies.
  2. Responding to internal and client queries, ensuring that the collected data aligns with our data methodology and policy guidelines.
  3. Maintaining the quality of collected data by complying with established work process standards.
  4. Meeting predetermined turn-around goals for work assignments.
  5. Escalating nuanced data disclosure issues when necessary.
  6. Performing root-cause analysis to identify and resolve data issues.
  7. Updating internal documents to monitor performance metrics.
  8. Participating in working committees and projects outside of core responsibilities.
  9. Maintaining accurate records and files as required by ISS and client retention policies.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Social Sciences, Communication, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a cross-border or multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A willingness to learn new concepts, theories, ideas, and processes quickly.
  • Flexibility to work traditional and non-traditional hours as required.
  • Prior experience in data collection and analysis, corporate governance, and business research is an asset.
  • This is a non-technical or non-IT role, suitable for fresh graduates looking to start their career.

The selected candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality benchmark and custom indices globally, helping clients identify investment opportunities and manage portfolio risks effectively.
