Our organization is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to support the financial health of our operations by performing key accounting functions related to financial reporting, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple properties.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company internal controls.
Support Responsibilities
  • Accounts payable functions:
    • Receive, review, and process property-related invoices accurately and timely.
    • Allocate and code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts and property.
    • Process weekly payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Accounts receivable functions:
    • Post tenant payments and subsidy checks accurately and timely.
    • Reconcile tenant ledgers and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Other functions:
    • Monitor and reconcile employee expense reimbursements and credit card charges.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting.
  • Experience in property management or low-income housing is a plus.
