Job Summary

A relational database expert will design and develop scalable data models and architecture to drive business performance.

This role requires a strong understanding of SQL, PL/pgSQL, and experience with version control (Git) and modern software development workflows. The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of database performance optimization and storage efficiency, as well as working knowledge of Linux environments.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust relational data models and database architectures
  • Write high-performance, maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flows
  • Contribute to the refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes
  • Collaborate closely with backend and product teams to shape how applications operate
  • Implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines for database development
  • Help design solutions that extend beyond traditional RDBMS boundaries

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in relational database development (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL
  • Experience with version control (Git) and modern software development workflows
  • Good understanding of database performance optimization and storage efficiency
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments
  • Bonus points for scripting skills (Bash, Python)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD is a plus)
  • Experience with Docker and microservices is a strong plus
