**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at CallTek. As a key member of our NOC, you will play a vital role in maintaining the availability and performance of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and availability 24/7 using advanced network monitoring tools to ensure optimal network operations.
- IDentify, log, and escalate incidents in alignment with established policies and protocols to minimize downtime.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of network issues including connectivity, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing to resolve problems efficiently.
- Coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams to resolve complex technical issues and provide timely solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions to improve future problem-solving.
- Assist in the implementation of network upgrades and maintenance schedules to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in the documentation of standard operating procedures for NOC operations to ensure consistency.
- Engage in proactive monitoring and alerting to ensure swift incident response and minimal impact on business operations.
- Provide exceptional customer support and communication during network incidents to maintain trust and confidence.
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a Network Operations Center or Help Desk environment is preferred but not essential.
- A fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routers, switches, and firewalls is required.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay technical information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required for 24/7 operation.
