Database Script Engineer Opportunity

As a skilled Database Script Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building internal tooling to power our modern SaaS platform. You will work with a high-impact company with a modern AWS-native stack, collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs.

About The Role
  • You will build reusable internal tools or scripting utilities to enable self-service by product and support teams.
  • You will grow your technical expertise across cloud databases, schema design, and Aurora optimization.
  • You will support one-off customer data requests and ad hoc reporting needs with speed and precision.
Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop scalable database scripts to support our modern SaaS platform.
  2. Analyze complex multi-tenant PostgreSQL schemas to extract, transform, and deliver data.
  3. Work with product managers to scope and fulfill data-related needs.
  4. Collaborate with developers to implement database solutions.
  5. Optimize database performance using Aurora.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments.
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance.
  • Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design.
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
