Progress OpenEdge Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Progress OpenEdge developer to fill a challenging role. As a key member of our team, you will work on designing and implementing projects using our Multipub product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL (Advanced Business Language)
  • Design, code, test, and debug programs with a focus on scalability and speed optimization
  • Implement database design and modifications using Progress Database
  • Collaborate with the Product team to translate requirements into technical specifications
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation
  • Support the migration of legacy systems to modern architectures
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with Progress OpenEdge Development (Version 11.x or higher)
  • Strong proficiency in Progress ABL/4GL programming
  • Experience with Progress Database administration and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with source control systems
  • Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Progress Dynamics/WebSpeed
  • Experience with WinForms
  • Familiarity with Docker containerization
  • Experience with private cloud platforms
