Job Title:

"Loan Portfolio Analyst"

This role is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of customers and assessing their repayment capacity by reviewing financial documentation.

  • Review and analyze customer financial information to ensure sound lending decisions
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements to deliver fair and accurate lending decisions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate loan processing, fostering positive relationships throughout the underwriting process
  • Evaluate collateral and property condition to support informed lending decisions
  • Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies, communicating findings clearly to relevant parties
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit policy changes and industry standards to enhance underwriting efficiency
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication of underwriting decisions and conditions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or related field
  • Extensive experience in residential mortgage processing or underwriting
  • Demonstrated expertise in income calculation, credit assessment, and asset analysis
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in mortgage underwriting software and automated underwriting systems (AUS)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to review and calculate complex personal or business financial statements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
