We are looking for individuals with expertise in clinical microbiology to join our team of peer reviewers.

About the Role

This is a freelance position where you will assess manuscripts submitted to academic journals and provide constructive feedback. Your evaluations will play a crucial role in shaping the future of research in this field.

Requirements

  • You should have a Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in clinical microbiology or a related subject area.
  • At least two publications in the last two years in your field.
  • A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the discipline.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manuscript novelty, assessing whether it adds new knowledge or insights to the field.
  • Evaluate study design and methodology, ensuring they are appropriate and clearly described.
  • Literature review, checking if the manuscript incorporates and cites relevant research.
  • Analyze results and conclusions, evaluating their appropriateness and significance.
  • Provide constructive feedback, suggesting improvements or highlighting flaws.
