Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The Lead Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing a team of mechanical engineers on a project-by-project basis, specifically water and wastewater treatment plants. Key responsibilities include technical definition, supplier evaluation, and interfaces with other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of the mechanical team (and/or produce directly)
  • Coordinate work distribution for the mechanical discipline
  • Verify design deliverables (technical specifications, equipment calculation notes)
  • Ensure that mechanical discipline deliverables are produced within time, quality, and budget
Requirements

We seek an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience, preferably in water/wastewater treatment plant projects or petrochemical projects during the engineering phase. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of equipment commonly used in the industry, water treatment process, and their standard technologies, material of construction, corrosion. Leadership skills, time management, organizational skills, and effective communication as a team member are essential.
