Job Role Overview

The primary objective of this Data Specialist role is to provide comprehensive administrative support and data management services, ensuring the accuracy, security, and usability of cross-functional team data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for database usage inquiries at the project level.
  • Determine whether issues should be escalated to technical support and coordinate accordingly.
  • Coordinate team roles and permissions within the GRID system and maintain up-to-date roster details on project documentation.
  • Deliver in-depth training sessions to users and establish training protocols at project commencement and for new team members.
  • Ensure high-quality data entry through rigorous quality assurance and control activities, verifying data completeness and accuracy.
  • Investigate functional issues, collaborate on database enhancements, and provide clear demonstrations of database functionality to employees and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in data entry, database administration, or data support roles.
  • Proven expertise with database systems (e.g., Salesforce, Access, SQL-based systems).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience conducting comprehensive user training sessions and creating detailed support documentation.
  • Ability to define workflows and manage user roles/permissions across multiple projects.
