Job Summary:
The position of Senior Business Systems Analyst is a crucial role that involves collaborating with digital product managers, business system owners, and users to capture accurate business requests. This translates into specifications that facilitate the design, coding, and testing of complex software and/or data warehouse applications within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business users and DPMs to capture stakeholder requests and translate them into system specifications.
- Work with software engineers to ensure engineering realization aligns with business specifications.
- Participate in Quality Assurance testing as required by IT workload.
- Provide guidance on devising effective approaches to achieve project objectives.
- Manage requirements risks by tracking and communicating issues, and devising methods to mitigate them.
- Liaise with other project areas to coordinate interdependencies and resolve issues.
- Analyze and communicate current state and future state business processes.
- Maintain knowledge of new technology and business analysis standards & practices.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of business analysis processes, techniques, and work products.
- Understanding of user experience design for web applications.
- Advanced knowledge of computer software development, terminology, and applications.
- Experience in Agile software development processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills to provide end-user support.
- Excellent interpersonal, documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong SQL skills to query databases and understand data structures.
- Technical acumen to understand XML language and read code.
- Experience in developing system specifications and technical requirement documents.
- Knowledge of production support processes.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
