Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. As a seasoned professional, you will provide technical delivery leadership on client engagements, lead architectural design sessions with the client, and manage client expectations while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

  • As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and guidance to younger career team members who are learning our company approach to infrastructure engagements.
  • You will serve as a coach in a player-coach model to help support the upskilling of team members and build their confidence in infrastructure delivery.
  • Additionally, you will help foster relationships between cloud infrastructure teams and outside parties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Functioning as technical delivery oversight with strong consultative skills on multiple client engagements.
  • Partnering with Delivery Excellence to ensure project milestones align with a project plan that captures key client decisions.
  • Having a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure solutions and their implementation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Assisting the delivery team in reaching billable targets by helping to break through project blockers.
  • Facilitating change orders and project extensions when necessary.
  • Driving alignment where there are technical mesh points between practice areas by providing technical oversight and direction.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and how they may impact our offerings.
  • Obtaining relevant certifications, such as the AZ-305 Cloud Architect certification.

Business Development Leadership:

  • Gaining exposure to other practice areas to position us in existing infrastructure engagements.
  • Identifying new Cloud Infrastructure & Security solution opportunities and raising them up.
  • Leading and guiding infrastructure offerings committees to define and drive standard offerings forward.

Leveraging Factors That Grow Our Business:

  • Reaching trusted advisor status within multiple accounts to support growth in existing customer accounts.
  • Leading and guiding engagements to enable our infrastructure team to scale out.
  • Supporting teammates with unblocking engagements and remediating possible escalations before they happen.
  • Creating reusable artifacts and content to enable team members to bill their time to clients.
