Chief Financial Controller for Real Estate Projects

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive package that reflects the importance of this role in driving the financial success of our projects.
Job Description
Maintaining Accurate Financial Records
As Chief Financial Controller for Real Estate Projects, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. This involves processing invoices, payments, and payroll accurately and in a timely manner, as well as reconciling bank statements, credit card accounts, and project-related expenses.
Preparing Financial Reports
You will also prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Managing Budgets
Another key responsibility is managing budgets for multiple real estate development projects, tracking costs and variances, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will work closely with project managers and vendors to manage contracts, lien waivers, and payment schedules.
Supporting Audits
In addition to these tasks, you will assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors and external consultants. This requires attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the real estate development or construction industry, is essential. You should also have proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel, as well as a strong understanding of real estate accounting principles, including job costing and project accounting.
