SAP FICO Finance Specialist Job Description

This is a Senior SAP Finance Consultant role that involves leading and supporting finance projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SAP FICO/COPA modules, as well as knowledge of ERP constructs and data conversions.

Responsibilities include developing and facilitating user trainings, providing analytical and technical guidance, investigating alternative solutions, communicating complex specifications, analyzing new opportunities, translating SAP requirements to functional specifications, and ensuring detailed analysis of incoming service requests.

The successful candidate will also ensure planning, control, and implementation of cross-departmental and transnational IT projects. Additionally, they will build and support solutions to meet audit and tax compliance requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience working within SAP FICO/COPA modules required; S/4 HANA experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on-skills on FICO configuration concepts related to: GL, AA, AR, AP, FSCM, Project Systems, & COPA required.
  • Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies and SDLC required.
  • Applied knowledge of ERP constructs required.
  • Data conversions is a must.
  • ABAP debugging is a plus.
  • Experience with third party integrations with SAP and other ERPs preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards required.
  • Experience with the SAP Fiori environment preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience with product costing is a plus.
