Business Financial Statement Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Business Financial Statement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in preparing annual financial statements and supporting working papers in accordance with Canadian standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying tax planning opportunities and preparing written memos and summaries. They will also collaborate with senior management on more complex tax engagements, respond to CRA queries and notices, and enhance key processes by creating training videos and step-by-step procedures.

  • Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers in accordance with Canadian standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a multi-client accounting environment, ideally within a cloud accounting or public accounting firm.
  • Proficient in financial statement preparation software such as Caseware Cloud, tax software such as CCH iFirm and cloud-based accounting software such as QBO and Xero.
  • CPA preferred; extensive financial statement and tax preparation experience also acceptable.
