As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in a collaborative and well-structured environment.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP, accounting principles, and internal financial controls. They should be proficient in using Concur, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and banking platforms such as JPMorgan Access.

A successful Senior General Ledger Accountant should be able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency. They should possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and perform general ledger activities including Fixed Assets, Intangibles, Leases, Intercompany Transactions, Transfer Pricing, Prepaids, GRIR, Stock Rotation, Accruals, and Tax-related entries.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, and other teams to ensure data integrity.
  • Support process improvements, system upgrades, policy development, and mentor junior staff.
The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • CPA certification is required.
  • Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA is a must.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and driven to ask the right questions and contribute proactively.
  • Amenable to a full-remote setup and willing to work night shift (US West Coast) hours.
