Financial Oversight Role

This is a critical role within our organisation, focusing on the financial management of our media and entertainment group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable, including quote preparation, invoicing, and payment reminders for entity-specific revenue streams.
  • Oversee accounts payable, including purchase orders and payout scheduling for each entity.
  • Perform reconciliation of payment and payout transactions for entity transactions.
  • Record entity-specific transactions and adjust P/L and B/S movements using manual journals.
  • Implement authorisation controls for entity expenses and manage expense processes via Budgetly.
  • Approve vendor and contractor payments for each entity and establish financial controls for entity-specific purchase orders and approvals.
  • Prepare quarterly BAS and annual returns for each entity, ensuring entity compliance with local tax obligations.
  • Develop and approve budgets for each entity and track and analyse entity-specific budget variances.
  • Prepare financial forecasts for each entity and conduct scenario analysis for entity cash flow needs.

This role requires adaptability to the financial cycles and operational nuances of both the media and entertainment sectors. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in accounting software such as Xero, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
