Construction Estimator Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Costs: Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • Analyze Data: Analyze historical data and pricing trends to improve the accuracy of estimates.
  • Evaluate Bids: Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Maintain Records: Develop and maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred).
  • Skills: Experience with estimating in construction, proficiency with estimating software, and strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is an asset.
