Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to design, develop and implement data pipelines for a Fortune 500 company.

The platform is built on Snowflake technology in the Azure cloud, with Power BI serving as the primary layer for reporting and data consumption. The platform integrates data from dozens of SAP instances as well as Salesforce, creating a complex and business-critical data environment.

  • Data Pipeline Development: Using Snowflake and Azure Data Factory (ADF), create efficient and scalable data pipelines that meet the client's requirements.
  • Collaboration with Architects and Platform Leads: Work closely with architects and platform leads to implement a new framework for data consolidation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Data Flow Optimization: Analyze data flows and storage to optimize performance, cost and reliability, reducing errors and downtime.
  • Data Quality and Governance Standards: Ensure data quality, governance and privacy standards are implemented across the data platform, meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced Technical Support: Offer support for deployed components in the data environment, resolving complex issues efficiently.

Required Skills:

  • Snowflake Expertise: Proficiency in Snowflake, including performance tuning and security features.
  • Azure Services Knowledge: Proficiency in Azure services, especially ADF.
  • Data Warehousing Best Practices: Knowledge of data warehousing best practices and modern architecture patterns.
  • SQL and Scripting Skills: Proficient in SQL and scripting for data processing and automation.
  • Data Compliance: Experience with sensitive data handling and compliance frameworks is an advantage.
