Financial Clerk Job Description

This is a full-time role involving the maintenance of accurate financial records and support for accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping businesses run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and categorize transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Create and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports to facilitate business decision-making.
  • Invoice clients and manage accounts receivable/payable to optimize cash flow.
  • Organize receipts and financial documents to maintain a paperless office environment.
  • Assist with payroll and expense tracking to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as email management, calendar scheduling, and data entry.
Requirements

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:

  • Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant with a focus on bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Bonus qualifications include:

  • Certificate or diploma in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience working with U.S. Clients to expand your professional network.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana or Trello to streamline workflows.
