Financial Management Specialist

The Financial Management Specialist is a vital role that entails maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

This position involves a variety of financial management functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The role requires proficiency in Australian standards, with additional knowledge of New Zealand and US standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
  • Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and monthly reporting to stakeholders.
  • Verify Payables entries to the correct subsidiary, department, and location to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to prevent financial losses.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control and improve financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in financial management or a related field.
