Job Summary:

As a Senior Networking Engineer at Spirit, you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting and improving the quality, efficiency, and success of internal and external infrastructure. We are seeking an individual with a unique blend of common sense, a strong technical understanding, and the versatility to work seamlessly as part of a team or independently. Your role goes beyond a conventional networking engineer role you'll be entrusted with solving complex problems within client environments, emphasizing efficiency and stability. Collaborating closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, you will ensure that our managed services not only meet but exceed client expectations, contributing to the ongoing improvement and investment in our services

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues
  • Diagnose and resolve network performance problems, in internal and client environments
  • Respond promptly to service outages and incidents, implementing effective remediation measures to minimise downtime.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage and execute network configuration changes, upgrades, and deployments
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients by providing top tier service and support
  • Support both WAN and LAN Infrastructure for client and internal environments
  • Collaborate with data centre operations teams to coordinate network upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and incident management.
  • Design, implement, and manage complex network infrastructure solutions for both internal and external client environments.
  • Assist with the stability, security, and scalability of network systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions with other IT systems and applications.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior networking engineers and other technical resources within the organisation.


Requirements
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Ability to make sound decisions and judgement whilst dealing with internal and external stakeholders in high pressure situations.
  • Cisco CCIE or CCNA Certification
  • Cisco Meraki Certification
  • 5+ Years in a Network Engineering role, managing both LAN and WAN environments.
  • 5+ Years working with Windows and Linux Server Operating systems.
  • Expert level experience of data center networking technologies and methodologies, including advanced routing protocols.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and managing data center networks.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and standards, including IPv4, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, VRF and MPLS
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with industry leading networking infrastructure (Meraki, Fortinet, Sophos, Juniper, Cisco, Watchguard, Mikrotik, Aruba, Rukus)
